NIMS has given the NIMS Award to a distinguished person or a group who had made significant progress in Materials Science since 2007. Award candidates are nominated by world-leading scientists and fairly judged by the NIMS Award Committee consisting of neutral experts.
At the NIMS Award Symposium 2023, the NIMS Award winner will be selected under the theme of "Structural Materials x Carbon Neutral," and the NIMS Award Ceremony and Award-Commemorative Lecture will be held. The symposium will also feature invited lectures by prominent scientists from Japan and abroad, as well as poster presentations by young researchers, making the two-day event that will cover the current state of structural materials research.
