For the convenience of visitors, NIMS operates a regular shuttle bus connecting the various NIMS sites in the Tsukuba area. Some buses pass the Tsukuba Express (TX) station and Tsukuba University.

Tsukuba Station (TX)( Tsukuba Express )

- Tsukuba Station → Sengen (about 8 minutes)
- Tsukuba Station → Sengen → Namiki (about 18 minutes)
