Work Description
The successful candidate will engage in the research and development of AI-assisted software workflows for accurately computing quantum entanglement, excited states, and spectroscopic responses in strongly correlated electron systems using first-principles calculations. This work will be carried out under the research project “Ab Initio Workflow for Quantum-Entangled Electrons,” led by the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), as part of the Next-Generation Computational Science Global Reach & Innovation Program (GRIP-N).

Specifically, depending on their expertise and research interests, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for one or more of the following research and development activities:
  • Development and validation of computational workflows integrating first-principles and quantum many-body calculations
  • Extraction and systematization of structural and semantic knowledge from quantum many-body simulation software using AI agents to support functional extensions
  • Advancement of quantum many-body computational algorithms for GPU acceleration and next-generation supercomputers
  • Application of the developed computational methods to high-temperature superconductors and strongly correlated topological materials
