NIMS wins "Industry-Academia Collaboration Award" at nano tech 2025
2025.02.28
From January 29 to 31, 2025, NIMS participated in the nano tech 2025 exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight, in collaboration with the Materials Strategy Related Project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). At this event, NIMS was honored with the Industry-Academia Collaboration Award.

At this exhibition, NIMS not only showcased its latest research seeds but also presented an integrated display of various projects that are driving innovation in materials science under the leadership of MEXT. By bringing together the latest developments from nationwide initiatives, the exhibition provided a comprehensive overview of Japan’s materials strategy in a single venue.
During the event, “NIMS & MEXT Initiatives for Materials Innovation Strategy” booth attracted numerous visitors, particularly from industry. Lively discussions with experts allowed attendees to explore cutting-edge materials science research while discovering new collaboration opportunities with NIMS and its associated projects. The exhibition served as a catalyst for future initiatives, fostering dialogue on co-creating the society of the future.
Furthermore, the “NIMS & MEXT Initiatives for Materials Innovation Strategy” booth was selected for the "Industry-Academia Collaboration Award" at nano tech 2025. This recognition highlights its effort to strengthen industry-academia collaboration for pioneering new frontiers in materials science, with NIMS serving as a central hub. Building on this award, we will continue working as a unified force to deepen industry-academia-government partnerships and contribute to the further advancement of materials science in Japan.
