NIMS Signs MOC with National Research Council of Science & Technology, Korea

NIMS has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) for research collaboration with the National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST), Korea.
On October 2, 2026, delegation members from the National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST) led by Chairperson Yeungshik Kim, together with 14 researchers from multiple NST-affiliated Korean government-funded research institutes, visited NIMS. Dr. Kim and President Kazuhiro Hono of NIMS exchanged views on future collaboration and signed the MOC.

The delegation also took a laboratory tour at Sengen and Namiki sites. Following the signing ceremony, the "NST-NIMS Joint Workshop on Advanced Materials" was held with researchers from NIMS and national research institutes under NST.
They shared overviews of their research activities and engaged in productive discussions.
The conclusion of the MOC and the scholarly exchanges are expected to further strengthen the research partnership between the two institutes.
