NIMS Postdoctoral Researcher in Spintronics Devices and Materials

Fixed Term:Research Center for Magnetic and Spintronic Materials, Magnetic Functional Device Group

#Fixed Term#Researcher
Field or Position NIMS Postdoctoral Researcher in Spintronics Devices and Materials
Number of Positions 1
Affiliation Research Center for Magnetic and Spintronic Materials
Magnetic Functional Device Group
Work Description
The research aims to develop next-generation magnetic recording technologies that achieve ultra-low power consumption and ultra-high recording density. Specifically, we focus on magnetic thin-film devices utilizing magnetization dynamics induced by spin-transfer torque and spin-orbit torque, as well as the study of related materials including magnetic materials and spin Hall materials.
This project covers a broad range of activities, such as the development of novel materials, device fabrication using advanced microfabrication techniques, and evaluation of magnetization dynamics. Depending on the applicant’s expertise, we will discuss and determine the specific areas of focus to make full use of the applicant’s strengths.
Our group has state-of-the-art facilities for the fabrication and characterization of magnetic materials and devices. In addition, we conduct collaborative research with other research groups within NIMS specializing in microstructural analysis and theoretical calculations, as well as with external research institutions and industry partners. The facilities and collaborations provide an excellent research environment.
