Work Description
Numerical modeling and experimental research on the photothermal conversion of micro/nanostructures. Specific tasks include optical and heat transfer calculations using the finite element method (FEM) and spectroscopic measurements across the visible to infrared wavelength ranges.

Qualification
Must hold a Ph.D. or be expected to complete a doctoral program by the employment start date.
Starting Date On or after October 1, 2026 (negotiable)
Term 1 year. Renewable based on annual performance reviews. (Note: The maximum term limit is subject to change due to revisions in employment regulations.)
Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period Contract renewals will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress on assigned tasks, workload at the end of the contract period, budget status, and other factors. The maximum employment period is five years. (However, the maximum employment period is subject to change due to revisions to the employment regulations or other policies.)

Scope of Work Location Changes In addition to the Organization’s regional offices, any other locations separately authorized by the Organization
Work Hours 7 hours 45 minutes per day, 5 days a week; Break time: 12:00–13:00
Discretionary labor system available.
Under the discretionary labor system, the deemed working time is 8 hours 15 minutes per day.
Holiday Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year’s holidays (December 29–January 3), annual paid leave, and other types of leave as specified in the organization’s regulations
Salary / Supply
Monthly salary: 325,360 JPY – 425,768 JPY.
If the discretionary labor system applies, the salary includes a deemed overtime allowance (refer to Article 13-2 of the Regulations on Salaries for Fixed-term Employees).
Commuting allowance provided (for distances of 2 km or more; subject to a maximum limit).
Various special leave systems available (bereavement, nursing care, family care, etc.). 
Trial Period Two months from the start date of employment
Insurance Coverage for health insurance, employees' pension insurance, employment insurance, and workers' compensation insurance depends on the work arrangement (enrollment is subject to meeting statutory requirements).
