NIMS Shuttle Bus connects NIMS' 3 sites in Tsukuba city and TX Tsukuba station

2025.04.01 Update

NIMS operates free 'NIMS Shuttle Bus' service for convenient transportation between its three locations in Tsukuba city: Sengen, Namiki and Sakura site.
Some of the buses go via TX Tsukuba Station and the University of Tsukuba.
From TX Tsukuba Station, take Exit A3 and proceed to "Corporate Bus Stop B" located in the Tsukuba Station Pickup/Drop-off Parking Lot, next to Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal.

Route Map

  • For NIMS Sengen and Namiki sites, we use the roads around the station and Gakuen Higashi Odori Avenue.
  • For NIMS Sakura site, we use Gakuen Higashi Odori Avenue and Shirakashi-dori street .

Bus Stops

  • At TX Tsukuba Station, proceed straight from Exit A3 and board at “Corporate Bus Stop B” located in the Tsukuba Station Pickup/Drop-off Parking Lot, next to Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal.
  • At NIMS Senken site, board at the Central Building entrance.
  • At NIMS Namiki site, board at the Collaborative Research Building entrance.
  • At NIMS Sakura site, board at the Central Building entrance.
