University Presidents from India Visit NIMS

On January 24, 2023, President Hono received a visit from university presidents in India.
The group consisted of seven people*, including R. Velraj, President of Anna University, and B. S. Murty, President of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, who had attended the “Japan-India University Forum (hosted by the Japan Science and Technology Agency)” held in Tokyo the day before. In particular, regarding support for human resource development, and then they visited the actual research sites, including the Structural Materials Research Center, the Magnetic and Spintronics Materials Research Center, and the Energy and Environment Materials Research Center.
It is hoped that collaboration with each university will be strengthened so that even more Indian students and faculty members will be able to conduct research at NIMS in the future.
