Awarding of the "NIMS Ambassador" Title

NIMS has conferred the title of “NIMS Ambassador” upon Prof. B. S. Murthy, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), and Prof. Amol Gokhale, Distinguished Visiting Professor of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB).
NIMS awards the title of "NIMS Ambassador" upon external individuals who have made outstanding contributions to strengthening international collaborations and promoting the NIMS brand, thereby helping to attract diverse and talented materials science researchers. This title honors individuals whose continued engagement contributes to continue driving NIMS's global presence forward.
Both awardees have been instrumental in establishing and reinforcing partnerships between NIMS and their respective Indian Institutes of Technology, while consistently committing themselves to the enhancement of joint research and personnel exchange. As NIMS Ambassadors, they will continue to contribute to these collaborative efforts, with a particular focus on fostering exchanges of young researchers.
