NMS Establishes Joint Research Center with IIT Bombay, India

NIMS has concluded an agreement for an establishment of a Joint Research Center with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay).
The signing ceremony took place on November 14, 2025, at the 4th Japan–India Universities Forum held in Hyderabad, India.

NIMS and IIT Bombay have been strengthening their collaboration through researcher exchanges and joint research activities, and in April 2024, the two institutions concluded an agreement on an International Cooperative Graduate Program (ICGP). The establishment of this center is expected to further invigorate research exchanges by utilizing programs such as the ICGP and the NIMS Internship Program, and to promote and expand international collaborative research.
