NIMS Special Researcher (Olfactory Sensors: Evaluation and Calibration Equipment)

We are inviting applications for Special Research Fellows (leaders responsible for spearheading research and development) to participate in a new large-scale project launched through an All-Japan collaboration among industry, academia, and government.

| Work Description | Lead the development of facilities for evaluating and calibrating gas sensors.

| Scope of Work Description Change | ・General duties corresponding to the above position. ・Please note that the scope of work may be subject to change if the anticipated large-scale project is modified. |

| Starting Date | As early as possible from April 2026 onward (negotiable). |
| Term | 1 year (possibly renewable with annual evaluation). |
| Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period | ・Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, attitude, progress of assigned tasks, workload at the time of contract expiration, budgetary conditions, and other relevant factors. ・The maximum employment period is limited to five years. (However, this maximum period may be subject to change in the event of revisions to employment regulations, etc.). |

| Scope of Work Location Changes | The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |
| Work Hours | 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hours and 15 minutes per day. |
| Holiday | Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations. |

| Trial Period | Two months from the start date of employment |
| Insurance | Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
