Work Description	Research work related to the synthesis and characterization of transition metal dichalcogenides. This primarily involves experimental studies on thin-film preparation, device fabrication, and characterization of electrical transport properties.
Scope of Work Description Change	Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position.
Qualification	Applicant should (or is expected to) have a Ph.D. degree in the field of electrochemistry, materials science, physical chemistry, or related areas. Applicants should have a strong interest in the above research activities and be able to pursue research proactively with enthusiasm.
Starting Date	April 1st 2026, or later (negotiable)
Term	By March 31st 2027(the term can be updated depending the efforts and achievements, maximum 5 years)
Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period	Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.
Work Place	National Institute for Materials Science, Namiki-Site (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki)
Scope of Work Location Changes	The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.
Work Hours	7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hours and 15 minutes per day.
Holiday	Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations.
Salary / Supply	Monthly salary: 376,380 yen~ (Determined based on experiences and ability in accordance with the institution’s term-based employee salary regulations)　 Deemed overtime allowance included in monthly salary(Article 13-2 of the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term Employees)
Trial Period	Two months from the start date of employment
Insurance	Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements.
