| Work Description | As an ICYS Research Fellow at NIMS, you will independently plan and conduct research based on your own ideas, making full use of NIMS’s state-of-the-art shared facilities. You are encouraged to pursue innovative research topics that contribute to the advancement of materials science fields, such as quantum materials, battery materials, magnetic materials, structural materials, data science, organic materials, bio-related materials, and other advanced materials. |

| Term | 3 years (renewable with annual evaluation) |
| Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period | * Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations. * If the applicant is already in NIMS as a non-permanent researcher (Postdoc), the maximum contract term depends on work experience at NIMS. |

| Work Hours | 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week *Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hours and 15 minutes per day. |
| Holiday | Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations. |
| Salary / Supply | Annual salary 6 million yen~* (social insurance premiums and taxes included) *To be determined in accordance with the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term Employees. *Fixed overtime pay included in monthly salary.(Article 10, item 3 of the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term Employees) Commuting allowance.* limited Advantages are given when applying for NIMS permanent researcher position. |
| Trial Period | Two months from the start date of employment |
| Insurance | Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
