Work Description | Study on the physical properties of magnetic materials employing statistical physics approaches. The successful candidate is expected to study the static and dynamical properties of magnetic materials by applying and developing computational methods based on statistical physics, such as Monte Carlo simulations and simulations of the equation of motion.

Qualification | The applicant should hold a PhD degree, or should be expecting to obtain one by arrival. Familiarity with condensed matter physics and/or material science (especially, magnetism) as well as a working knowledge on programming skills for simulations is required. |
Starting Date | October or later, 2025 (negotiable) |
Term | One year. |
Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period | Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum term of employment will be until June 30, 2027. Employment may be extended further (up to two years) depending on the budget situation in 2027. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations. |

Scope of Work Location Changes | The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |
Work Hours | 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hours and 15 minutes per day. |
Holiday | Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations. |

Trial Period | Two months from the start date of employment |
Insurance | Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
