| Job Summary | Development of thermal conductivity measurements and analysis

| Scope of Job Description Changes | Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position. |
| Qualification | The applicant should (or is expected to) have a Ph.D. degree in the field of material science or physics. We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with good skills regarding the development of thermal conductivity measurements and analysis. Strong experience with the thermoreflectance method would be especially beneficial as the group has custom apparatus to utilize. |

| Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period | Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations. |

| Scope of Work Location Changes | The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |
| Work Hours | 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week (discretionary work system, in which case deemed working hours are 8 hours 15 minutes per day) |
| Holiday | Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, New Year holidays, annual paid leave, and other holidays as stipulated in the NIMS Regulations |
| Salary / Supply | Followed by NIMS regulations. Commuting allowance and national insurance are also provided.

| Trial Period | Two months from the start date of employment |
| Insurance | Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
