Job Summary	The candidate is expected to work in experimental research on superconducting magnets and wires.
Scope of Job Description Changes	Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position.
Qualification	Possess a PhD degree or expected to receive a degree by the start of employment. Have a significant expertise in experiments in the field of applied superconductivity. Good skills in writing scientific papers in English. Expected to communicate in Japanese.
Starting Date	After 1 May 2025 (negotiable)
Term	The contract can be renewed every year based on the performance and up to 5 years.
Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period	Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.
Work Place	Sakura or Sengen sites, National Institute for Materials Science, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan
Scope of Work Location Changes	The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.
Work Hours	7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week
Holiday	Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations.
Salary / Supply	Monthly salary from 317,570 JPY (To be determined in accordance with the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term Employees)
Trial Period	Two months from the start date of employment
Insurance	Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker's accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements.
