Work Description
This postdoctoral researcher position focuses on research on the development of polymer biomaterials for medical applications. Specifically, you will develop biomaterials—such as injectable gels—through polymer synthesis, gel preparation, physical property evaluation, cell culture testing, and animal experiments, with the aim of applying them to regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
Scope of Work Description Change Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position.
Qualification
  1. Applicants should have or be expected to receive a Ph. D. degree by the start of the employment
  2. Research experience with biomaterials, polymer chemistry, and biological science
Starting Date October 1st, 2026 or after
Term One year (renewable with annual evaluation)
Work Place Namiki Site, National Institute for Materials Science, Tsukuba, Ibaraki
Scope of Work Location Changes The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.
Work Hours 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week
Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hours and 15 minutes per day.
Holiday Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays
Salary / Supply
Monthly 385,626 yen~
Deemed overtime allowance included in monthly salary(Article 13-2 of the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term Employees)
Commuting allowance and national insurance are also included.
Trial Period Two months from the start date of employment
Insurance Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance,
Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements.
