Work Description	Elucidation of bioelectron transfer mechanisms through electrochemical experiments using microorganism
Scope of Work Description Change	Duties are subject to change within the scope of the employee's position.
Qualification	Candidates should have a PhD or expect to receive the degree by the start of the employment While specific research background is not a requirement, it is desirable that candidates can strategically incorporate research on material-microorganism interactions using electrochemistry or microbiology into their career development Sufficient proficiency in English to communicate effectively with staff and collaborators
Starting Date	December 1,2025 or later (negotiable)
Term	one year (renewable with annual evaluation)
Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period	Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation and other factors.The maximum employment period shall not exceed 5 years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.
Work Place	National Institute for Materials Science, Namiki-Site (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki)
Scope of Work Location Changes	The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer's site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.
Work Hours	7 hours 45 minutes a day or discretionary labor system, 5 days a week Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hour 15 minutes per day.
Holiday	Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the NIMS Regulations.
Salary / Supply	Monthly salary: 317,570 yen~(Determined based on experience and ability in accordance with the institution's term-based employee salary regulations) Fixed overtime pay included in monthly salary(Article 10, item 3 of the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term Employees)
Trial Period	Two months from the start date of employment
Insurance	Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker's Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements.
