| Work Description | We conduct research on solid-state batteries utilizing sulfide-based solid electrolytes. Our goal is to understand the fundamental processes occurring at the interfaces within all-solid-sate batteries, which are key to achieving high performance and long-term stability. By combining advanced surface and bulk characterization techniques available in-house, we aim to clarify how materials and interfaces evolve and degrade during electrochemical cycling. Particular attention is given to the electro-chemo-mechanical properties of electrode materials, including ion transport limitations, electrochemical degradation at high voltages, and particle fracture phenomena. In addition, our research involves ion dynamics analysis of solid-state battery materials using NMR and SIMS, including the development of operando SIMS for real-time interfacial observation. We welcome candidates with a strong interest in sulfide-based solid electrolytes, interfacial phenomena, and degradation mechanisms in solid-state batteries, who are highly motivated to engage in experimental research integrating electrochemistry and materials characterization. |
