Work Description
  1. Development of data extraction techniques from publicly available information using large language models (LLMs)
  2. Development of entity linking techniques for polymer databases
  3. Building a knowledge base through data integration
  4. Material development using LLMs and establishing its fundamental techniques
Scope of Work Description Change Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position.
Qualification
  1. The candidate must hold a master's degree or higher.
  2. A minimum of five years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  3. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with group members.
Starting Date April 1st 2026 or after (negotiable)
Term A six‑month (rerewable up to 5 years with annual evaluation)
Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.
Work Place National Institute for Materials Science, Sengen-Site (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki)
Scope of Work Location Changes The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.
Work Hours 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week
Flexible working hours are available.
Holiday Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations.
Salary / Supply
Monthly salary 400,000 yen or above. Details are subject to NIMS regulations.
Commuting allowance and national insurance will also be covered.
Trial Period Two months from the start date of employment
Insurance Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements.
