Welcome Message
The Research Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics, which is based on the philosophy of the International Centre for Materials Nanoarchitectonics established in the World Premier International Research Centre Program (WPI), promotes NIMS's own nanoarchitectonics (nano-building blockwork technology) research. There, it is engaged in the creation of new materials and new functions through bottom-up fundamental research. Since 2018, it has also promoted activities as a WPI Academy and continues challenging research activities to fulfil its role as an international research center in the field of nanotechnology and materials science. In the current NIMS Fifth Mid-Term Plan, we are also aiming to further enhance new international collaborations, to further deepen ‘nanoarchitectonics’ and to establish a system to focus on quantum materials research. We are continuing our challenging research activities with the aim of contributing to solving social issues in the future, even from within basic research. We look forward to your warm support.
