Research Summary | A post-doc position on magnetic recording material research. A successful candidate is expected to pursue research works on the development of advanced magnetic storage media. For example, fabrication of granular films, interfacial design of stacking structures, magnetic and spin transport properties will be conducted. Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee's position. |
Qualification | Ph.D. in materials science, applied physics or physics or electronic engineering. Candidates must have a strong background in a thin film growth for magnetic and spintronic materials. |
Starting Date | September 2024 (negotiable) |
Term | one year (renewable up to 5 years with annual evaluation) Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. |
Work Place | National Institute for Materials Science, Sengen site (Tsukuba city, Ibaraki, Japan) The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer's site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |
Work Hours | 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hours and 15 minutes per day. |
Holiday | Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as Stipulated in the Working Regulations. |
Salary / Supply | To be determined in accordance with the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term Employees Fixed overtime pay included in monthly salary (Article 10, item 3 of the Salary Regulations for Fixed term Employees) |
Trial Period | Two months from the start date of employment |
Insurance | Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker's accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
