Job Summary | The postdoctoral researcher is expected to mainly contribute to design and development of functional oxide thin film transistor. The vacuum film fabrication and characterizations, as well as transistor fabrication and characterizations in this research will be needed. Particularly, thin film will be fabricated by ALD system. Furthermore, nano-scale transistor fabrication using electron beam lithography will be used.

Qualification | Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree or expect to receive the degree by the start of the employment. They should have backgrounds in transistor research, with expertise in the vacuum thin film synthesis, film characterizations, transistor fabrication, and transistor property characterizations.

Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period | Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations. |

Scope of Work Location Changes | The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |
Work Hours | 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week *Deemed working hours when the discretionary labor system is applied are 8 hours and 15 minutes per day. |
Holiday | Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations. |
Salary / Supply | Supply followed by NIMS regulations. Commuting allowance and national insurance will also be covered.

Trial Period | Two months from the start date of employment |
Insurance | Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
