| Work Description | Research of surface treatment for carbon fiber reinforced plastics
|
| Qualification | The applicant should (or is expected to) have a Ph.D. degree in the field of materials science, chemistry, or related areas. Also, he or she preferably has experience in spectroscopy (FT-IR, XPS) and surface treatments of plastics. Sufficient English language ability for communication with staff and collaborators.

| Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period | Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. |
| Work Place | National Institute for Materials Science, Sengen site (Tsukuba-city, Ibaraki) |
| Scope of Work Location Changes | The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |
| Work Hours | 7 hours a day, working 16 days a month (negotiable as the flex-time system). |
| Holiday | Saturday, Sunday, and National Holidays |
| Salary / Supply | 2,000 yen or more per hour (To be determined in accordance with the Salary Regulations for Fixed Term Employees) |
| Trial Period | Two months from the start date of employment |
| Insurance | Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
