Job Summary
A post doc position on the development of Sm-Fe based permanent magnetic thin film and their magnetic and structural characterization for high performance. Background on magnetism and magnetic materials is required. Experiences on thin film processing and magnetic measurements are desirable. The candidate must have a strong motivation in learning microstructure characterization by transmission electron microscopy.

Qualification
Ph.D. in materials science, applied physics or physics
Starting Date Dec. 2024 (negotiable)
Term 1 year
Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situaion, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed 5 years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.
Work Place NIMS Sengen site (Tsukuba, Japan)
Scope of Work Location Changes Other sites at Employer, as well as locations approved by case.
Work Hours 7 hours 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week
Break : 12:00-13:00
It is possible to work on discretionary base with deemed working hours at 8 hours and 15 minutes per day.
Holiday Saturday, Sunday, and National Holidays, New Year Holidays, annual paid leave and other holidays as stipulated in the Working Regulations.
Salary / Supply
 according to NIMS regulations.  Fixed overtime pay included in monthly salary in case you work on  discretionary base.
Insurance You will be enrolled in health, pension, employment and accident compensation insurances.
