Job Summary
This project funded from NIMS focuses on the development of soft actuators using ionic liquid-crystalline polymers, amphiphilic block polymers, and redox-active conjugated polymers and their application to haptic devices and vibration-powered electric generators. Backgrounds for organic and polymer syntheses, electrochemistry, rheology are suitable for this project.

Qualification
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree or are expected to receive it in the field of organic chemistry or materials chemistry.
Starting Date October 1st 2024 or later
Term One year
Contract Renewal Criteria / Maximum Employment Period Renewal is possible depending on an evaluation until September 30st 2025.
Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.
Work Place National Institute for Materials Science, Sengen-site (Tsukuba city, Ibaraki)
Scope of Work Location Changes In addition to the organization's regional offices, any other locations authorized by the organization
Work Hours 7 hours 45 minutes a day (negotiable as the flex-time system)
Holiday Saturday, Sunday, and National Holidays
Salary / Supply
Supply Followed by NIMS regulations. Commuting allowance and national insurance are also included.
Trial Period 2 months from the start date of employment
Insurance Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Workers’ Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirement.
