Research Summary Research on biogas measurements using olfactory sensors.

Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position.
Qualification
  • Applicants should (or is expected to) have a doctoral degree.
  • Applicants should be able to communicate adequately in Japanese or English.
  • It is preferable for a candidate to have research experience on biogas measurements using nanomechanical sensors as well as gas analysis systems such as gas chromatography, and expeience working in a medical institute.
Starting Date April 1st 2024 or later (negotiable)
Term One year

Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.
Work Place Namiki Site, National Institute for Materials Science, Tsukuba, Ibaraki

The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.
Work Hours 7 hours 45minutes (08:30-17:15) a day (negotiable as the flex-time system)
Holiday Saturdays, Sundays and National holidays
Salary / Supply Supply followed by NIMS regulations.
Trial Period We set probationary period by NIMS regulations.
Insurance Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Workers’ accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements.
