Research Summary The postdoctoral researcher is expected to mainly contribute to design and development of new polymer materials.
He/she will develop functional polymer materials related to circular economy.
The designed polymers are expected to have a direct and positive impact on the industry and society.
This position is supported by JST CREST or SIP.

Qualification Candidates should have a PhD or expect to receive the degree by the start of the employment.
They should have a strong background in materials science, synthesis and characterization of organic / polymer synthesis.
Sufficient English language ability for communication with staff and collaborators.
Starting Date Feb. 1st, 2024 or Later
Term One year (possibly updated up to 5 years depending on the performance)
Work Place National Institute for Materials Science,Sengen-Site (Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan National Institute for Materials Science,Sengen-Site (Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan)
Work Hours 7 Hours 45 Minutes a Day (negotiable as the flex-time system)
Holiday Saturday, Sunday, and National Holidays
Salary / Supply Followed by NIMS regulations.
Commutation allowance and national insurance are also provided.
