Research Summary |
Theoretical analysis and design of semiconductors and structural materials based on first-principles calculations and first-principles-based model calculation without empirical parameter.
Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position. |
Qualification |
The applicant should (or is expected to) have a Ph.D. degree in the field of science or engineering. It is expected that applicants have sufficient experiences of materials design by first principles calculations or model simulations. We welcome researchers who have experiences to contribute to develop a program code in this field. |

1 year
Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations. |
Work Place |
National Institute for Materials Science, Sengen-site (Tsukuba city, Ibaraki)
The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |

7 hours 45 minutes a day (negotiable as the flex-time system) |

Salary / Supply |
Supply followed by NIMS regulation. National insurance is included. |

Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Workers’ accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
