| Research Summary |
Development of carbon nanotube (CNT) based nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) and sensors, such as: - growth and fabrication of CNT NEMS devices.
- characterization, manipulation and measurements by in situ TEM.
- applications of CNT NEMS sensors for mass and force detection.
Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position. |
| Qualification |
- Ph.D. in materials science, electronics or applied physics.
- Research experience in CNTs or nanodevices is preferred.

1 Year
Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed three (3) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations. |

National Institute for Materials Science, Namiki-Site (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki)
The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |

7 hours 45 minutes a day (negotiable as the flex-time system) |

| Salary / Supply |
Supply followed by NIMS regulations.
Commuting allowance and national insurance will also be covered. |

Employment Insurance and Workers’ accident Compensation Insurance.
You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements. |
