EPFL, with its main campus located near Lake Geneva and a total number of enrolled students of about 10,000, is one of the world's leading prestigious Universities specializing in engineering and natural sciences, Recently, EPFL has been publishing a lot of high-attentiveness papers in the research fields of solar cell technology, computational science, and nanomaterials including graphene.

Also, approximately 59% of its students came from overseas, attracting many smart students from various countries in search of an environment where they can receive the world's highest level of advanced research and education. In addition, more than 65% of the papers published between 2013 and 2022 is international coauthored papers. Those data tell us that EPFL opens up to the world.

It is expected that the students will come back to NIMS as an internship student or a young researcher in the near future.
