Divisional MoU signed between Mansoura University Egypt and the Research Center for Macromolecules and Biomaterials of NIMS

On September 17, the Research Center for Macromolecules and Biomaterials of NIMS held a MoU signing ceremony with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University (Mansoura University) in Egypt.

Mansoura University is the second ranked national university in Egypt and was founded in 1962 as a branch of the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University. As such, it boasts a high level of achievement in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine, and enrolls students from many countries in Africa and the Middle East. In particular, the veterinary school has many animal species, disease models, and high surgical skills, which are expected to contribute greatly to the development of biomaterials at NIMS. NIMS has already concluded an MoU with the Egyptian Liver Research Institute and Hospital (ELRIAH), which is located in the same city as the university. The MoU is expected to promote the joint development of new biomaterials and mutual academic understanding between Japan and Egypt.
