The IITH-NIMS joint center got JICA external research grant for international collaboration

The research team of Director Dr. Seiji Mitani (Research Center for Magnetic and Spintronic Materials, National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS)) and Dr. Chandrasekhar Murapaka (Assistant Professor of Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH)), which participated in the FY2022 program, the first since the launch of the IITH-NIMS joint center for materials science, has applied for and approved the following external research grant for international collaboration based on the results of their joint research works at NIMS.

 Approved proposal IITH side PI:     Dr. Chandrasekhar Murapaka (Assistant Professor)
 Approved proposal IITH side co-PI:   Dr. Seiji Mitani (Director)


Approved international collaboration project title:
“Development of novel spin Hall materials for spin-orbit torque based memory and logic devices”

Implementation period of approved project: January 2023 - November 2024


It is expected that participation in the IITH-NIMS joint center FY2022 program will lead to the continued development of bilateral international collaboration and the publication of many new discoveries in the international Journals.
