Press Release: Development of an artificial vision device that creates the illusion of the human eye
An artificial vision ionic device that operates based on the movement of ions in a solid and the interaction between ions has been developed. The device has been demonstrated for the first time in the world to mimic the illusion of the human eye, in which the area around the boundary between light and dark is enhanced. The research results were published online in the American scientific journal Nano Letters on September 14, 2021 (Japan time). Furthermore, a related article appeared in the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun (print and electronic versions) on October 18, 2021.

an article on dr. Tsuchiya's latest paper appears on the nature portfolio website
On August 6, 2021, an article appeared on the Nature Portfolio (*) website,
introducing Dr. Tsuchiya's latest paper entitled 'The electric double layer
effect and its strong suppression at Li+ solid electrolyte/hydrogenated
diamond interfaces'. The paper was originally published the Communication
Chemistry.
(*) Nature Portfolio was formerly known as Nature Publishing Group and Nature Research.

Dr. Namiki, Dr. Tsuchiya and Dr. Terabe were chosen as Grand Prize Winner in NanoArt 2020 Competition
The artwork titled 'Nanoarchitectonic Rotator' was created mainly by Dr. Namiki for his latest paper. This beautiful piece of work is being used as one of the sliders on index page, allowing our website to look more impressive.
