Award

Feb. 3, 2026

Takashi Tsuchiya Group Leader (Neuromorphic Devices Group), Wataru Namiki Researcher (Ionic Devices Group), and Sota Hikasa NIMS Junior Researcher (Neuromorphic Devices Group) received the Outstanding Achievement Award under the Advanced Research Infrastructure for Materials and Nanotechnology in Japan (ARIM) program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

The Advanced Research Infrastructure for Materials and Nanotechnology in Japan (ARIM) is a national program that provides researchers and developers from industry, academia, and government with access to state-of-the-art analysis and processing facilities at universities and research institutes across Japan. In addition to shared facilities, ARIM promotes the utilization of materials data generated through the use of these advanced instruments.

This award recognizes research achievements in which ARIM support and utilization have made a significant impact, demonstrated strong potential for future innovation, or were realized through industry–academia–government collaboration.

The award ceremony was held on January 28, 2026, at the 26th International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference.
