Yoshitaka Tateyama, MANA PI and research groups from NIMS and RIKEN receives HPCwire Awards - Readers' & Editors' Choice, in the category of "Best Use of HPC in Manufacturing". The awards ceremony took place at SC17 (International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis) in Denver, Colorado, USA on November 13th, 2017.

HPCwire is the most popular news and information resource covering the fastest computers in the world and the people who run them. The research on lithium ion battery using supercomputer "KEI(京)" by NIMS team is evaluated as the most valuable application on high performance computing
in the field of manufacturing industry.
