The 16th MANA International Symposium 2023 "Nanoarchitectonics and Quantum Materials" was held at MANA Auditorium, NIMS in Tsukuba City from November 9 (Thu) to November 10 (Fri), 2023. This Symposium is held every year to present WPI-MANA's research achievements to the domestic and international scientific community.

The symposium featured two Plenary Talks by Prof. Timothy M. Swager of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and Prof. Masaya Notomi of Tokyo Institute of Technology. The symposium consisted of 12 invited speakers from inside and outside Japan, 12 speakers from NIMS and 44 poster presentations.

240 participants gathered locally for a lively Q&A session and exchange of ideas.

This year's poster award was won by Wataru Namiki (Ionic Devices Group), Akito Tateyama (Frontier Molecules Group), Barun Kumar Barman (Photonics Nano Engineering Group), Linawati Sutrisno (Supermolecules Group).

For this year's symposium, to encourage them, the poster awards were selected among students and postdoctors.
