The Yamauchi ERATO Final Public Symposium, “Societal Impact and Future Prospects Opened by Second-Generation Porous Materials,” was held at Akiba Plaza from March 29 to 30, 2026.
The symposium presented the synthetic platforms developed to achieve precise control of “nano-spaces” within crystals and “hybrid spaces” formed through their highly integrated assemblies, along with the research outcomes obtained throughout the project period.
The event attracted over 100 participants, including many attendees from overseas, resulting in a highly international atmosphere. It provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the global reach and presence of the ERATO project.
In particular, researchers engaged in international collaborative research supported by ERATO participated in the symposium. They delivered insightful wrap-up presentations and offered valuable perspectives on how the project’s outcomes can be translated into societal applications beyond the project period.
The symposium concluded successfully, marking a fitting culmination of the project.
