Jan. 14, 2026

The "1st Workshop on Physical Properties of Two-Dimensional Materials" was held on December 12, 2025, at the Auditorium of the WPI-MANA Building (The Namiki site), NIMS.

The workshop featured three speakers who presented recent advances in research on two-dimensional materials, covering topics such as including their physical properties, the controlled fabrication of van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures, device performance, and characterization using scanning probe microscopy. A poster session was also held, which students and early-career researchers presented their work and received feedback.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in lively discussions and meaningful exchanges of ideas. The workshop event served as a valuable forum for deepening mutual understanding and identifying future research directions.

Overall, the workshop contributed to strengthening the research community and advancing progress in the field of two-dimensional materials.
