Takashi Taniguchi Fellow / Director of MANA, received the "James C. McGroddy Prize 2023" by the American Physical Society (APS)
The James C. McGroddy Prize was established in 1997 and named after Dr. James C. McGroddy an American physicist, who won APS's George E. Pake Prize in 1995. This prize was founded through the endowment of IBM and the APS Division of Materials Physics. This Award was founded to recognize exceptional accomplishments in science and the utilization of new materials annually. Takashi Taniguchi was recognized for his significant contributions to synthesizing and assembling high-quality 2D materials and their heterostructures.
The award ceremony at APS March Meeting 2023 was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from March 5-10, 2023.
