Mizuki Tenjimbayashi, MANA independent researchers, and co‐workers' research "Liquid Marbles: Exceptional Robustness and Self-Reconfigurability of Liquid Marbles on Superhydrophobic Substrate", was selected as the front cover of the journal "ADVANCED MATERIALS INTERFACES".
Fragileness of liquid marbles annoys researchers in processing. Mizuki Tenjimbayashi, Masanobu Naito, and co‐workers propose that superhydrophobic surfaces are suitable platforms for liquid marble synthesis and manipulation and enable reversible tuning of interfacial packing on liquid marbles without craftsmanship.
This is because liquid marbles on superhydrophobic surfaces are mechanically stable and self‐reconfigurable following mechanical impact or exposure of the droplet surface.
This results are expected to have applications in drug delivery and microreactor.
