The Solid-State NMR Group is working with materials researchers to improve the performance of important materials such as batteries, semiconductors, catalysts, and polymers, and to elucidate the reaction mechanisms of oxygen and hydrogen molecules on solid surfaces. NIMS is also working on the development of high-temperature NMR and quantum measurement techniques as fundamental technologies. As fundamental technologies, we are also developing solid-state NMR technology that can operate under various environments, such as high temperatures, real working environments, and under light irradiation, and quantum measurement technology for measuring surface chemical reactions, as well as improving data analysis by integrating quantum chemical calculations and data science.
