From fundamental research/foundational R&D on materials to research required by society.
Centered on fundamental research/foundational R&D, NIMS conducts a variety of research activities related to materials such as Emphasized R&D (Project Research) required by the times and Seminal Research focusing on researcher creativity. Moreover, the idea of Cluster research promotion toward attainment of a single objective which transcends fields and organizations, in addition to collaborative research, meant a research organization that aims to deliver wideranging results has been established. We use data based on our research results and portions thereof research as a database.
