Research Summary The postdoctoral researcher is expected to mainly contribute to design and development of new polymer materials.
He/she will develop functional polymer materials related to circular economy.
The designed polymers are expected to have a direct and positive impact on the industry and society.

Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position.
Qualification Candidates should have a PhD or expect to receive the degree by the start of the employment.
They should have a strong background in materials science, synthesis and characterization of organic / polymer synthesis.
Sufficient English language ability for communication with staff and collaborators.
Starting Date July. 1st, 2024 or Later
Term One year

Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed five (5) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations.

The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer.
Work Hours 7 Hours 45 Minutes a Day (negotiable as the flex-time system)
Holiday Saturday, Sunday, and National Holidays
Salary / Supply Followed by NIMS regulations.
Commutation allowance and national insurance are also provided.
Trial Period Two months from the start date of employment
Insurance Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Worker’s Accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirements.
