Research Summary |
Preparation and characterizations of organic-inorganic hybrid or ceramic membrane materials for Hydrogen separation applications.
Duties are subject to change within the scope of the Employee’s position. |
Qualification |
- Applicants have a PhD degree related to their materials or related research.
- Physically and mentally health.
- The applicant has general interpersonal communication skills.
- Experiences in material preparation and evaluation of gas separation properties are desired.
- Applicant must be fluent in English as the person will participate in an international joint research project between Japan and France. A applicant who is fluent in Japanese is preferable.

Term |
One year
Renewal of the contract will be determined based on work performance, work attitude, progress of the work engaged in, workload at the end of the contract period, budget situation, and other factors. The maximum employment period shall not exceed two (2) years. This may be subject to change because of amendments to the Working Regulations. |
Work Place |
National Institute for Materials Science, Namiki-Site (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki)
The scope of the change of place of work shall be limited to each of the Employer’s site, as well as other locations separately approved by the Employer. |
Work Hours |
7 hours 45 minutes a day (negotiable as the flex-time system) |
Holiday |
Saturday, Sunday, and National Holidays, according to NIMS regulations |
Salary / Supply |
Supply followed by NIMS regulations. Commuting allowance and national insurance will also be covered. |
Trial Period |
We set a probationary period. |
Insurance |
Health insurance (MEXT Mutual Aid Association), Welfare Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Workers' accident Compensation Insurance. You will be automatically enrolled in these insurances when working conditions meet the requirement. |
