NIMS signs Confirmation of Terms for Joint Research Projects with MOST, Taiwan

On June 5th, 2015, NIMS President Prof. Sukekatsu Ushioda signed the Confirmation of Terms for Joint Research Projects with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan, with H.E. Prof. Chung-Liang Chien, the Deputy Minister of MOST, in the honorable presence of H.E. Mr. Ssu-Tsun Shen, the Representative to Japan, at the Taipei Economic and Culture Representative Office (TECRO) in Tokyo.

Many from the Taiwan side including Prof. Ching-Hua Lo, the President of the National Applied Research Laboratories, Prof. Emeritus Cheng-Hong Chen, the former Deputy Minister of MOST, and Mr. Takahiro Fujita, the Executive Vice President of NIMS, Dr. Masakazu Aono, the Director General of MANA-NIMS, and others from NIMS attended the ceremony.
This project financially supports several Taiwanese academic groups selected from the applications for the collaborative research exclusively with NIMS. Invitation to the application will be announced soon and the financial support will be started from April 1st, 2016.

It is definitely expected that the launching of this MOST project will certainly enhance the collaboration between many academic institutions in Taiwan and NIMS.
