Reservation
Users can book the machine through the "NIMS Equipments Management System" if having lisence A or B. User's Guide of Reservation System 
(Updated March 2025) (For NIMS Members): Please apply for the Access Permission (available only for NIMS members) to the laboratory. Please check the Equipment List for the laboratory room number. (For External Users): Please let us know if the laboratory is locked, the staff will unlock it.
Reservation & Users Policy
Reservation rules for A and B license holders are as follows:
→ Please follow the session slots below. (* except for Spectra Ultra S/TEM)
* As a rule, reservations can be made for up to 4 slots.
* B license: Weekday morning and afternoon sessions available (9:00~16:30)
* A license: Weekday morning, afternoon and evening sessions available (9:00~20:30)
* Except for some equipment, NIMS users are allowed to use the equipment during the nighttime; non-NIMS users are not allowed to use the equipment during the nighttime.

* As a rule, reservations can be made for up to 3 slots.
* B license: Weekday morning and afternoon sessions available (9:00~19:00).
* A license: No restrictions on available hours of use.
For Talos, Nanomill, Ceramics sample preparation facilities in Namiki-site
→ Book by the hour.
* As a rule, reservations can be made for up to 3 days.
* B license: Weekday 9:00~17:00 available.
* A license: No restrictions on available hours of use.

* As a rule, reservations can be made for up to 3 days.
* B license: Weekday 9:00~17:00 available.
* A license: No restrictions on available hours of use.

For other SEM/TEM sample preparation equipment group (Sengen-site Physical Analysis Lab. #103&108)
→ Book by the hour.
* Please make reservations in one-hour increments when using equipment that requires a reservation.
* Reservations can be made from 9:00-16:00.
* There is no limit to the number of slots that can be reserved in a day.
* Some equipment, such as coaters, may be used without a reservation by users who are licensed to use the equipment.
* The rooms are available from 9:00-16:30 on weekdays. Please borrow/return the card key from the staff room when entering/leaving the room. (Registered users only)

* The users should make reservations via Google Calendar (max. 24 hrs, up to two sessions).
* On beharf of you, the staff will put your resevations onto "NIMS Equipments Management System".
As a rule, outside visitors are welcome to use the facility between 9:00 and 16:30.
