A New Promise for Cardiac Repair

- Tissue Engineering Using Stem Cells and Biocompatible Scaffolds -

2010.11.24

A novel approach for cardiac tissue engineering has been successfully developed. Complete maturation of adult murine cardiac resident progenitor cells (CPC) towards cardiac phenotype was induced within few days by the cooperation of biological and mechanical stimuli, giving promise for patient novel treatments.
