Theoretical study on topological quantum materials and novel quantum functionality

Paradigm shift is taking place in materials science. Instead of serendipity, designing and realizing desirable electronic structures are expected to play the pilot role. This poses a grand challenge to the wisdom of human being. In this group, we are exploring topological quantum phenomena in various systems such electronic materials and photonic crystals, and the associated novel quantum functionalities.
